A Claude Project that plans your day from your inbox and calendar
Step 1 of 10
Understand what a Project gives you
A Claude Project is a workspace with a memory: standing instructions, reference documents, and connected tools all apply to every chat inside it. That is the difference between asking Claude
Checkpoint
You can name the three ingredients: tools, instructions, and your reference docs.
Before you begin
Tick these off as you sort them. Stopping halfway to create an account is how a fifteen-minute build becomes an hour.

Ticks are saved on this device, so you can come back to them.
- Account
Projects and connectors are available on Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise. The free tier is not enough for this setup.
- Account
The brief is only as good as the data. Connect the Gmail and Calendar you use every day, not a side account.
- Know-how
You will write a short set of standing instructions. Knowing whether you want meetings first or deep work first makes the brief genuinely useful from day one.
- Time
Ten to connect and configure, ten for the first brief and calibration.
The basics — ticked once, remembered everywhere
- Account
Either the hosted version or a self-hosted install. Everything here works the same on both — the only visible difference is the shape of your webhook URLs.
Create a workspace - Know-how
Adding a node, connecting two of them, and pressing Execute. If any of that is new, the free primer covers it in about ten minutes.
- Credential
You will paste at least one secret during setup. A password manager beats a notes app, and it stops you pasting a live key into a chat window by accident.
The shape of the setup
The Claude features you will touch, left to right, in the order you use them.
