A scheduled task is a prompt Claude runs on a timetable — each run is a fresh, full session with web search and your connectors available.

Good candidates are recurring (weekly, daily), freshness-dependent (news, prices, inboxes), and structured (you want the same format every time). One-off questions and deep creative work don't belong on a schedule.
