Understand the permission model

A connector gives Claude your access to that tool — nothing more. It can read the Slack channels you're in, the Drive folders you can open. It can't grant anyone else access, and on most connectors it reads rather than writes.

This makes connectors safe to set up personally even in companies with policies: you're not piping company data anywhere new, you're reading your own tools through a smarter interface.
